Michael Jackson - 1958 to 2009
Still couldnt quite believe he's gone. Really am shocked and in disbelief when I first heard the news at home. Further confirm by checking the news in the internet.
Though can say, he's not really my generation's star, but well, I grew up listening to his songs, watching his movies and ofcourse his trademark, the moonwalk. Sad that another legend has left us. May his legacy remains in our hearts and soul. Rest in peace, MJ.
Putting that aside, busy2 weekend. MST starts tml.. and here i am blogging..

It's been a few months now since I left the Motherland. Though it has been only a few months, my busy schedule in school made it feel as though it's been so-so long ago. Singapore is totally different from China. After being there for so long, when i am here, I began to miss it.
It all started around last year November 08. Everyone's busy about exams and ITP placement, and I have decided on OITP @ Changchun, China. That being my first time, working overseas, being away from home for so long, taking my first flight and of course my first visit to China. I am so excited and nervous at the same time.
All my bags packed and ready to go, I left Singapore for China at 0815hrs.
Our trip Changchun is indeed a long one.
Taking a 4hrs flight, CX710 transit to Hong Kong,
a 3hrs flight, KA 992 to Beijing,
and last but not least an 8hrs train ride to Changchun Railway.
As it's my first plane ride, I anticipated the ears-popping sensation that i have been hearing about for years. Though it's not what I expected, what I experience was,.. " Fading hearing and everything is slowly becoming to quiet.. ", only thing I did was to close my nose and blow through it. Everything will then return to normal.
Eating more than 2000ft above ground for the first time.
Going toilet more than 2000ft above ground for the first time.
Sleep more than 2000ft above ground for the first time.
Well, seriously a bloody lot of first times.
As soon as we got to Beijing Intl,
I lost my baggage for the FIRST time.
Super panic!
Went to lost and found, they said my luggage has been delayed.
please wait till 1830hrs to collect your luggage.
Bought Nin jiom and Pocari Sweat @ Beijing Intl,
and yup my FIRST purchase in China.
Blah, blah, Blah...
Several hours later, We're in the train, reaching Changchun soon.
A sight that I had never seen before...
White landscape.
Ice particles develops on the INNER side of the train window.
FREAKING cold temperature.
More White landscape.
truly miss it there....:(

A lot had happened for the past few months, too busy to even post anything, update my friendster or even create a facebook account.
Somehow these few months to see either mere coincidence or even miracles.
Its not so wow-ing, but it made me realize the that there's always a reason behind misfortunes and how you react to the situation definitely changes the outcome.
Just a couple of weeks ago during one of those Friday prayers, the weather was truly scorching hot. The cloudless sky further heats up the land. I am certain everyone not under shelter were sweating. While listening to the Khutbah, i prayed hoping that the clouds would come to shelter us from the blazing sun. Miraculously, my prayer was answered. Not more than 10 minutes, the clouds came sheltering the us from the heat. We then prayed comfortably.
Two weeks ago, as I rush to submit my first report, I left my hard disk in the school computer lab. Only to realise that its gone when I was at Aljunied on my way to Tampines. At that moment I thought, it's a goner, there goes all my pictures and videos. Though i knew that I had lost some of the pictures that are valuable to me, i did not panic. Somehow deep in my heart i know, there's a reason for it to happen. A few days later i even thought of getting a new one, but again my heart told me to wait. Almost a week after the loss, my friend called. Yup, my patience pays off.
My friend called and told me that he found my hard disk in the lab the other day.
What are the odds of the hundreds of people who uses the lab, the one who found it is a friend of mine.
Today I went to the lab to print my report, and someone left his/her thumb drive behind. I guess this is how i should repay the favor. Just imagine if only i were to realise i left my hard disk when i am in school or somebody else uses the workstation after me, or even if i am not rushing to submit the report, just a change in one of these things could end up in a totally different outcome.
February is really a crazy month for me, assessments, reports, tests and exams.
My team managed to complete the AGV on time. Got to say, what a group.
Group of three, suppose to have 4 to 5 in each group though, 2 guys and 1 girl.
The girl have been MIA ever since, whereas the guy, to me, just have no sense of urgency. With me juggling all the machinery, at the last few days of machining only then they came to help. The girl can say knows almost nothing only to order others to do the job for her. I do not know whether to belief her reasons for being absent the whole time.
IA and MMS practical tomorrow. Really hope to score them. Got IA 2nd practical and Maths common test 2 results the other day, so happy to score 100/100 for both. Hopefully I can do the same for the exams.
4 exams this semester. IA, Maths, IE and MMS. On the 18, 20, 25 and 27 of February. So technically my holidays will commence exactly 1100hr on the 27th.
but still I'll be busy then. Busy shopping and packing up for my 7 weeks stay at Chang Chun, China. Need to get some winter wear. Working there will truly be a milestone in my life!

Game Review - Call of Duty: World at War, CoD5
Finally got my hands on CoD5, Playstation 3 version.
Built on the same game engine as its predecessor, CoD5 has yet to disappoint its fans.
Treyarch has definitely done a great job in immersing the gamers back to the frontlines of world war two! Comprising the European and Pacific theater of war, CoD5 puts you in the shoes of Pvt. Dimitri Petrenko of the Red Army and Pvt. Miller of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Starting off with Pvt. Miller who is captured by the Japanese while scouting Makin Island. Who were then rescued by Corporal Roebuck. Whereas as Pvt. Dimitri, you start off in the fountain barely alive watching your other injurt comrades being shot alive by the merciless German army during the Battle of Stalingrad.
More or less, CoD5 has a great story line and exciting gameplay. After several hours of evading Banzai charges, dodging bullets and destroying German tanks. I can say that CoD5 is one of the best titles of the series.
Despite having short single player campaign, missions being too straight forward,
the bonus mission is one that can not be missed. Yes! It's Nazi Zombies.
Being able to play coop with up to 4 players, this players are forced to work together to survive wave after waves of zombies which somehow gain more speed and numbers the higher the wave is. I am definately hooked to zombie killing games now. Burning them with a flame thrower or shooting them with a ray gun is seriously fun.
Bottom line, CoD5 has great coop missions, gory dismemberment effects, intense multiplayer and of course zombies but lacks of something fresh. Honestly if CoD4 were too have gory effects and zombies I would prefer CoD4 instead. So I'll give this game a 8.5 /10 rating.
