Game Review - Call of Duty: World at War, CoD5

Finally got my hands on CoD5, Playstation 3 version.
Built on the same game engine as its predecessor, CoD5 has yet to disappoint its fans.
Treyarch has definitely done a great job in immersing the gamers back to the frontlines of world war two! Comprising the European and Pacific theater of war, CoD5 puts you in the shoes of Pvt. Dimitri Petrenko of the Red Army and Pvt. Miller of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Starting off with Pvt. Miller who is captured by the Japanese while scouting Makin Island. Who were then rescued by Corporal Roebuck. Whereas as Pvt. Dimitri, you start off in the fountain barely alive watching your other injurt comrades being shot alive by the merciless German army during the Battle of Stalingrad.

More or less, CoD5 has a great story line and exciting gameplay. After several hours of evading Banzai charges, dodging bullets and destroying German tanks. I can say that CoD5 is one of the best titles of the series.

Despite having short single player campaign, missions being too straight forward,
the bonus mission is one that can not be missed. Yes! It's Nazi Zombies.

Being able to play coop with up to 4 players, this players are forced to work together to survive wave after waves of zombies which somehow gain more speed and numbers the higher the wave is. I am definately hooked to zombie killing games now. Burning them with a flame thrower or shooting them with a ray gun is seriously fun.

Bottom line, CoD5 has great coop missions, gory dismemberment effects, intense multiplayer and of course zombies but lacks of something fresh. Honestly if CoD4 were too have gory effects and zombies I would prefer CoD4 instead. So I'll give this game a 8.5 /10 rating.
